I was just watching a documentary on the killing of JFK, and though it is mostly
exploitive shmaltz, there was a short bit of footage of Oswald that has been replaying
in my head. It is the part where he gets arraigned, and he comes out to a big
crowd of reporters, one of who asks if he killed the president. There is a kind
of close up of Oswald's face and he looks totally bewildered, saying it is th
efirst time he has heard that question. Maybe that is just a lie, and there is
no concpiracy and all, but there is something in his face that was sort of unsettling.
he has this look on his face that he is just some idealogue totally caught out
of his league. I suppose he might have killed JFK, though it doesn't seem likely,
not because of the conflicting facts, but the odds seem against it from a ballistics
perspective, since a policeman also got hit, though then again Reagan got shot
at something like 19 times with exploding bullets by Hinkley and it managaged
not to kill Reagan despite hitting him twice. And what are the chances of that?
Elsewhere in the news, I have noticed an increased sense of gravity. I think this
has to do with a NOVA I watched on the earth's magnetic field, an dhow it is about
to reverse itself and we are all going to die from cancer. It is set to switch
every 780,000 years, and reverse poles, so that the compasses of the world will
point south. Only it takes a few thousand years to reverse, during which time
everyone's going to die. And they have measurements that confirm that the switching
has already begun. So you might as well enjoy a cannolli for lunch, because you
are doomed as surely as I write these words. Doomed I tells you. Doomed.
