For a quiet spell, there has be relatively a lot of action around here. I don't just mean the natural disasters, which are pretty much coming one after another out here, fires, mudslides, flooding, washouts, blackouts--you name it. But I've been busy too. For one thing, I roasted a chicken, which took me the better part of an evening. For another, I built a wall at Mike's house, complete with a door hung in it, which came out surprisingly well. We had some araby coleslaw to celebrate, and then went to get a few canvases at the art store, which made me sick for about three days afterwards. His aparment is giving him some headaches, with leaks coming in under the door on one of the decks, halogen bulbs in need of ball bearings and a strange condensation dripping water on the floor. It's all quite strange, but overall his house is fully operational.

Anyway, he seems quite cheery now that he has a woman in his life.

Meanwhile Dan checked in from viet nam to say he ate rooster eggs. Sam got his wife preggers. It's like baby fever these days.

My hoiny came back yesterday, which was very nice, though she lost the ability to speak from some kind of flu. So she hasn't been as chatty as usual.
