Wowee. Two nights in a row of outrageousness. First I went out to Palomino and had dinner with some people from work, which was nice enough, though it rained on me as I went home, which kind of punctured the fun. But then last night I went out with Adam, first to a quirky restaurant called Emmy's where they serve 40s in champagne buckets.

So that was fun, though my farfale with mascarpone and deep fried parsnips topped with pumpkin seeds weren't all that. They were just ok. But afterwards we went to see a beat box collective called Vowel Movement. It was really remarkable. I thought for sure I would tire of it in a few minutes but it was two hours of captivating performance.

If I were someone else who does such things, I would have the cojones to record them and sign them and make a fortune promoting them as a kind of blue man group act. These guys are really good. I met a guy there who had a lot of money possibly from real estate, possibly from dealing drugs, who I was thinking might be in a better position to produce a show by them. Hopefully someone will.
