I'm not saying it was because of the election, or because I was in LA, but I was feeling sick for the past few days, most of the time during which I was in LA. I think it might be some combination of those two. In any case, I did manage to go see the body world show in LA, which is a bunch of human cadavers flayed of their skin, filled with a kind of plastic.

While it is sort of cool to see, it is really disrespectful to the bodies, because they aren't just dissected, they are also posed with things like fedoras and basketballs. But there is one or two amazing ones, where just the veins are intact and the whole rest of the body was dissolved somehow. The whole place smelled a little of beef jerky. Anyway, I did go see the La Brea tar pits too, which has big statues of elephants and stuff sinking into the ground. That is all that is left to remind people that there were tar pits there that sucked down dinosaurs and stuff.
