My honey passed the Russell Viper Venom test, where they inject you with actual Viper venom, to see how well your blood clots. It turns out hers clotted pretty well, which is good news, in terms of a lifetime spent taking anti coagulation drugs.
Also in the big news, I have joined the Dolphin Club, which means I now can row ancient whaling boats. So that will give me something to do. I couldn't resist it really, since the place is 120 years old, and everything is crusted with sea salt, and all the members are old too. I even went to a board meeting where they used Roberts Rules of Order relentlessly. It was great.
I have learned a great deal about Archimedes, and I bring this up not just because he is closely associated with displacement in bodies of water, though it is a nice segue. No, I mention it because I have learned of a fascinating story, involving something called a pampliset, which was lost for a thousand years, and it contained his writing, which a Christian monk scraped clean off the papyrus and used to write out prayers. But it was found in the 1990s and with high tech methods they are able to read his writing. Actually, it was first found in Turkey, right before WWI, but war broke out and it was lost for another 90 years. Pretty wild story, kind of better than the stupid Davinci Code. Plus this one is true. Anyway, I should really crank out a story about it, make a movie or something, as it quite a dramatic tale.
