Perhaps you are curious what is going on out here. I mean, sure, there's the night life, and all the wild times, but there is also the quiet beauty of nature. For instance: this is a photo I took of a beach near here, where my honey and me went for a stroll. That water you see behind me is the Pacific Ocean. As you can see, my head is what you might call long and narrow, where my honey's is tiny. Although that is also the result of some kind of optical illusion, since I was holding the camera and it made my head appear very large. But anyway, that is beach, which, like most sand in this neighborhood is sort of darkish colored. Also, if you go out in the water, there are all sorts of things that kill you, like currents that are unpredictable and sharks, plus you can freeze to death out there. You might also note that I set my camera to super high resolution, so you can really see every little thing.

I live in a pretty swanky part of town but as you can see, the view from out my window is of a building across the street, where most every night, Hobo Willie likes to camp out. I snapped this photo when he was actually injecting his arm with something. Probably his insulin. Unfortunately, my tiny zoom wasn't sharp enough to fully capture the excitement of him in fully injectable junkie mode, but you'll have to take my word for it, he had an actual needle in his arm, just like in those drug prevention movies that they made me watch in middle school.

And finally, I would like to show you a photo of a place where the Sutro Baths used to be. It's a long story, but a long time ago, a man named Adolf Sutro built a big seawater swimming pool by the sea, covered in glass, like a French train station. Then it somehow burnt down or blew up or collapsed. But nowadays you can walk down there and look at the ruins, which feel vaguely roman. You can't really see them in the photo, but imagine that the surf is crashing pretty loud against those island rock formations and it all smells like balsam.
