I went to a bar called Zeitgeist. Normally I don't go to bars, and never during the day, but I kind of got tricked into it, because my friend said he would pick me up at a certain time and place, and we would go sailing. Only instead of going sailing, we went to Zeitgeist, to meet his sister.

It was an interesting bar, in that it was sort like a biker bar, only the bikes were all bicycles. There were some motorcycles too, mostly japanese bikes with stickers on them like racing sponsors. Inside there were a bunch of slovenly types, mostly bad tatoos, kind of fat, some spiked up hair, too much attitude. There was an incredibly rude woman cooking shniztles and a backyard with about three hundred people stuffed in, all drinking beer. I couldnt' believe the size of the crowd, especially in the middle of a nice day. Plus there were no bathrooms, only portapotties. A big sloppy fat guy drinking beer out of a mason jar sat down nearby and started in about a bicycle he bought at wal mart and how cool it was. He was spitting when he talked.

After a while, I left, and tried out a Vespa scooter for about a half a block. Then we went to drive around the neighborhood where OJ Simpson grew up, where his father used to prance around as a transvestite, which may or may not account for the disputed, but still pretty much forgone conclusive fact that he grew up to cut off not only his wifes head, but her waiters as well. The projects were still sad and poor and up around them were some ramshackle houses. There were also some unpaved roads, which was shocking given how over gentrified almost every square inch of the rest of san francisco is.
