Another day, another bowling tourny. I don't know if you are aware that I am quite a bowler, having bowled no less than twice since Jimmy Carter was inagurated. But this was a charity event, so I not only got to bowl, I got to spend a pile of cash for the privelidge. By the way, in case it's not coming across, I hate bowling. Plus I had to wear a stupid nametag and stupid shirt and stupid bowling shoes that were probably crawling with bugs. Even though they gave out free food, I was eating mine and thinking of the bugs from the bowling ball holes that were crawling down my fingers and taking refuge in my guts.

After all the excitement, I went off to see some galleries. It was kind of spontaneous, since I just happened to bump into my friend who was off to see art nearby. So we went, and ran into a couple, where the guy looked like Seal, the singer, with blue fashion sunglasses, and she was all arty and they both had weird names that I immediately forgot as soon as they were introduced. Then we went to some galleries and looked at awful local art, and ran into Yves, and we discussed the news about the sneakers with the microchip, since he designs sneakers for Nike and stuff and knew those guys.

Then we went around and met more stupid people and looked at bad art and it was too hot to stand it, and I was introduced to some foreigners, like Mona, who was half 'middle eastern' and half German, and I don't think she ment Israeli, and some other guy who had a little tiny beard under his lip and did photography that he called "colonial noir". Mona made some remark about how great San Francisco was.

Then I got the hell out of there, and passed on going to see Envy, because I can no longer abide Ben Stiller and Jack Black kind of lost me a while ago, around Orange County.

Fortunately, I was able to end my day by coming home to my lovely wife, who I have now been married to a year and a day as of today, and who grows more wonderful every day, like a cheese that keeps growing more wonderful all the time. Only a lowfat cheese. And she is thrilled with her medical care now that she is in USCF and everything is going great and nothing can possible go wrong now.

By the way, they said on the radio that a giant earthquake is coming by September.
