Well it's passover and that means time to grind up the apples and honey and wine and nuts. Only first, we went away for the weekend, to a lovely spot up north, in the high Sierras. Maybe not the high Sierras, more like the foothills. But it was a very nice spot, up in the hills, in a very sweet house, made sweeter by the company of a baby, whose name is zachary. We went to stroll along the water in the river than ran along the side of the roads up there, which is part of the National Irrigation District of the Yuba river. There are large spiders and rattlesnakes there. It was all very nice.

Then we came down and had seder, at Mark's house, with the special next year in Lhasa haggaddah and there were thirty people and seven kids and it was very nice and warm. Then we had our own seder the next night, which was the first time I ever led a seder. But it went well and ended with a rousing discussion of bromelids and neurology with the various people there who all held strong opinions on the subject.
