At last it has happened. I have officially been told I need to get a new persona, because the one I have now is too negative and isn't working for me. I guess I should have seen that coming. But I have been busy. Like, for instance, did you know that some Russians came up with a cure for diabetes? It's true. In some hospital in England, they injected an adult with some genetically modified cells and the guy started producing his own insulin. It made the news, but I'm surprised it wasn't a bigger story, considering how many people have the disease and how long they have been looking for a cure.

There was some other big news last week as well, like the wife getting into UCSF''s MEPN program, which is a big deal for two reasons. One, it is said to be the best in the country, maybe the world. Two, it has larger implications for my life and where I'll be living. But at least she should be happy and fulfilled professionally. My wife, by the way, is totally not a selfish whore. She is a very nice person who totally cares about my welfare.

Speaking of which, I'm on my way to LA, where I may or may not have dinner with Matt Stone this evening, who is not really famous, but still incredibly successful. He is an animator, who created, among other things, South Park. I know it seems like name dropping to mention him, but no one really knows his name so it doesn't count. Anyway, the point is, he is incredibly successful, at least financially, and I 'm curious to talk to him about whether it makes him fulfilled.

But it's not like that's the only thing I have on my mind. I'm also trying to work out this whole underarm deoderant conundrum. If you use one that covers up the stink effectively, it is bound to have aluminum in it that gives you alzheimers or armpit cancer or something awful. If you buy Tom's or Jason, or some other organic crap, it smells like compost. And of course those lanolin rocks don't do anything at all. So I'm pretty busy, trying to work that one out. I did use some Bulgari cologne one time, and that smelled pretty good, but it was like 80 dollars for a little bottle. And besides, who wants to be a person who wears cologne? Not to cast racial aspersions, but I for one, am willing to leave the cologne wearing to other ethnic groups.

A final note: I know I've been a little remiss on the regular updates, but I have been putting up poetry on milton.ehrlich.com regularly, if that counts.
