It annoys me to no end that I wrote a whole entry and it got lost electronically, but I decided to suck it up and recall what I could. I'll do it in reverse chronological order. Yesterday I was in Pasedena, which is an upscale suburb of LA. I was staying at the Ritz, which was quite nice, though not as Ritzy as you might think. It was nice, though I did have to go on a press check at 1-4 am, which is pretty unpleasant. Also it was 104 degrees in LA, so that kind of reminded me of being in NYC in the summer and how hot it was. As I was leaving LA some old guy ran over 40 people in Santa Monica and killed about 9 of them.

Before that, I think it was Tuesday. Nothing happened Tuesday that I can remember. Just before that came Monday, and I have the vague feeling that something occured that I would ordinarily be able to recount, but I'm stumped. Oh, my honey made sushi for dinner. That was good.

Sunday. Hm. It's kind of a blur. I think Sunday we went and looked at some apartments, then went out to Golden Gate park to the Strybling Arboretum and had well above average burritos. I could have done without the cheese in mine, but it was still quite good. Saturday was before that, and I do recall taht we went out to Marin in the morning and up to Petaluma after that, where we had dinner with Stan and Selma and walked around the downtown. It's a strange town, Petaluma. There used to be a large community of Jewish chicken farmers, and I dont' mean the chickens were Jewish. But now it is split between Old Petaluma and new, new being tract houses. There is a small strip that is untouched since about 1920, which is charming. There is a big hill behind town, which separates Petaluma from Sonoma. On the way up there, there was big fire, which they have a lot of around here, brush fires. It fills the air with smoke so the whole highway had to slow to about 5 mph as you pass through it. I think that brings me back to Friday, which was when we went to the very Goyish services at Temple Emmanu-El, which was like a Cat Stevens concert. So I guess that brings it all up to speed, from what I recall. Not a very eventful weekend, but if you include the trip to LA, it has been a little action.
