My honey has mentioned that several people have communicated to her that it was not clear she was working with me at the Habitat site. To clarify, she was there. And not just there, but she worked like a fiend, and was made to crawl around on her hands and knees with a putty knife, scraping the concrete floor of a building that was supposed to be tiled. She worked like a shtarker and I certainly never meant to imply otherwise.

I went to a dentist yesterday. I got some reccomendations about who to go to at work. I noticed at work that everyone seems to have gleaming white teeth, which, I was told later, is because bleaching and laminates are very popular. It's kind of distracting, to talk to someone who has gleaming white choppers. But I got a referral and went to see her. Actually, I never got to see her, because I spent an hour and half with the hygeniest, getting the most sadistic dental cleaning I have ever endured. He was apologizing as he did it, but he was really digging for treasure under my gumline with his metal hook.

I have good teeth, generally speaking, though he did find a cavity, which is the first one I ever have had. He was praising my brushing style, which was nice to hear, and sort of made me feel better about the amount of blood accumulating in my mouth. Oddly, he took a digital picture, not of my teeth, but of me, for his records. They also made me fill out a survey on whether I was satisfied with how white my teeth are. Which I am, even though filling out the survey made me a little insecure about that, and I found myself checking my teeth in reflections on storefronts on the way home. Also they charged me 297 dollars, which seemed like a lot to me, but I haven't been to a dentist in about two years. Anyway, I get to go back and do another visit, so that's something to look forward to.
