The trouble with my sporadic impulse to report is that I can never remember what I have thought would make a good entry versus what I actually took the time to write about. I know there is a very simple solution to that, all I have to do is read the last few entries to make sure my news is not duplicative, but really, who has the time for that? Certainly not me, with my whirlwind life.

And when I say whirlwind, I'm talking about going to the farmers market to buy peaches for 3.99 a pound, and then walking around all day vaguely irritable that I paid so much for peaches. And not just that, but I was entertaining some out of town guests at the time, who were not at all impressed how expensive things were here, since they come from Texas where practically everyone has assets under management. Now me, I don't have any such problems, but down there, people have flat screen tvs in the bathroom and airconditioning in their houses and cars and garages and pretty much never have to go out in the sun. This is rich people I am talking about. Poor people probably do get their hands dirty, though I am just basing that on the historical record.

I did learn that the Gulf of Mexico is brown, and not from sewage, but from mud, which is kind of a novel pollutant, though I also learned that if you go to a certain point south, like Brownsville or something, the water is mysteriously Carribean blue again, and it is a great real estate value if you want white sandy beaches and blue water and still be in Texas, America.

I'm not sure I do, but as long as I am here, I might as well be providing real estate tips to those loyal enough to have read this far. You heard it here first. Personally, I have a problem living in close proximity to a city callled Corpus Christi, but that's probably just me.
